@thomasfuchs it's really easy:
1. Find a magazine
2. Follow
It seems that the problem is in the "find" part.

@thomasfuchs Hi Thomas! If you search for flipboard.com you'll be able to see all our federated profiles. Then you can click on those to see what they're sharing into Magazines and follow the Magazines you are interested in (the second item where it starts "Follow" is the Magazine). Alternatively, you can then go on to search for the federated profile (e.g. @Smithsonianmag) and you will see all the federated Magazines listed. Apologies that it's not more straightforward — we rolled out Magazine federation this morning and are learning as we go!
@thomasfuchs Hi Thomas, we totally understand your frustration and are working on producing some kind of directory for all federated Magazines (since there are 1,000 of them and that will grow in the future as we federate more profiles, it is a bit of an undertaking!). In the meantime, here's a list of all our federated publisher profiles and you should be able to navigate to their Magazines from there.

In addition, our own editorial desks are federated and can be found at @thenewsdesk , @science, @tech, @theculturedesk.
Appreciate that this is totally non-intuitive and laborious, but hopefully you should be able to find some cool stuff to follow as we work on a better way of sharing the information.
