   it really is weird americans play our own national anthem at our own events on US soil, the entire world (literally everyone but us) only plays anthems at international events, as a way to welcome a visiting country’s team.

     @mathowie American 6 year olds pledge allegiance to the flag and the republic for which it stands every morning in public school
