I’m not in my “villain era.”
People love to villainise the people who stand up for themselves in a staunch, courageous, and compelling fashion though.

I suppose that’s to be expected when these same people have absolutely no clue what constitutes a narcissist but use that word to describe anyone they don’t like.
I suppose that’s to be expected when these same people are the furthest thing from a mental health professional, don’t regularly go to therapy themselves, have no idea how frustrating and laborious the process is to even get access to decent mental health services, but are quick to lecture you to go to therapy.
So why should I take the people who villainise the folks who are struggling seriously when they struggle to muster up the energy to show basic compassion?
Simple. They are in pain. They are in denial about how much pain they’re in. They’re still in survival mode.
BUT BUT BUT… they’re popular on the internet.
@crashglasshouses I’m sorry to say that these people are akin to emotional renegades. I’m glad that roommate is a previous one. The last place you should have to deal with someone like that is your own home.
@theauracle a previous roommate did that to me. living with her was fucking unliveable.
