The idea that #agnosticism is #atheism is an atheist idea that I've encountered before, but I disagree. The way I see it, atheism says there is no god, whereas agnosticism is not yet decided. Agnosticism is the humbler position, because it admits that there may be evidence we haven't seen or can't understand; atheism says it's seen enough and understood enough, and no god exists.

@Terry_QQ_Jones There may be a God or gods, but nobody so far has made useful verifiable observations, so no conclusions can be drawn on how the divine should affect our decisions.
Follow the faith of half a billion people, you violate the rules of the faith of another half a billion people.
We have multiple world religions that contradict each other on core points, whereas chemistry, biology and quantum physics in Japan, China, India, Russia, Iran and France all agree on a large core of knowledge, and build new discoveries on top of that.
When there's a useful and verifiable model, we'll have another look. Until then, we will go about our business.
This is #atheism.

That will vary, but some theists know the faults of their professed faith.
Atheists also may make a claim to reject, but do so with a weak understanding.
Knowing the claims of the creeds is essential.
What do they claim, what do they do?

This is part of how the paradox is worked.
The logic straddles.
Agnostics are not sure, deists leave room for a higher power but reject religions, likely that they know about.
Atheists need at least to know enough about the claims in order to reject.
There is proof to reject.
