     @adiz@soc0.outrnat.nl @Zergling_man@sacred.harpy.faith @kaia@brotka.st i had a tatami mattress for the longest time but got a western mattress cuz it was too hard to sleep on sometimes, i still have it tho
     the only reason my bed is elevated is cuz my ex gave me some mattress stands lol, otherwise it was just on the ground and i wasn't planning on buying stands for it

     @Zergling_man@sacred.harpy.faith I slept on a mattress on the floor for years and had no mold or whatever. IIrc that's basically what they do in Japan, though: they fold/roll the floor mattresses up and store them during the day to allow for more living space to be utilized. Definitely less hassle than a bed + bed-frame, especially when moving. @shibao@misskey.bubbletea.dev @kaia@brotka.st

     @adiz @shibao @kaia I've had a couple of people tell me not to because something something mould, so I was just leaning it against the wall during the day. Honestly still less hassle than a bed.

     I think it has nothing to do with "femoids" — I know a fair share of girls who at least in some point in their lives and for extensive periods slept like that. It's just that fucking on a mattress isn't as comfortable so this topic usually comes up when you start living with someone who frequently partakes in sexual activities with you :marseyshrug:
