   Github banned its cofounder due to bug or AI-based automation. He is back now, but for couple of hours, his account was suspended. Yet, another reason to avoid Github?

     You're going to want to s/Gitea/Forgejo/g there.

     Gitea is under the control of a for-profit company. We have already learned that it is unwise to submit to such control.

     Forgejo is a community fork of Gitea.

     @nrk9819 GitLab is more of a BlueSky to GitHub's Twitter. Nominally better, but still in practice centralized development run by a company. Forgejo is the Mastodon of forges.
