   I love documentary YouTube, learning about science, engineering, history, logistics, current events, etc.

   One YouTuber I follow is Simon Whistler…who made one of the most depressing videos I’ve seen in a while: how North Koreans escape to SK…and how their new lives are a different form of suffering. Inadequate mental health or socialization support leaves many incredibly isolated and paralyzed.

   I had to turn on something funny afterward. It was so bleak.

     @pippa Happy to help! What do you typically subscribe to? I also watch Half As Interesting and other Wendover Productions stuff (Extremities is so fascinating to me). And urban planning, geography, geology, aviation, tornadoes, Japan…

     @smitha @pippa Half as Interesting and Wendover are great! I'd recommend subscribing to Nebula.tv if you don't mind paying $3-$5 a month. Most of the good documentary/educational youtubers are on there (no ads!).
     Other youtubers/nebula series I recommend:
     Stefan Milo - archeology
     Joe Scott - general science and history stuff
     City Beautiful - city planning
     Jet Lag the Game - travel game show
     Atlas Pro - biology and geography
