   @hypolite No, they're just a corporation, pro-money. I'm not aware of any history of activism.

   I don't think this was a statement, just unawareness of international sensitivities. If they knew this would happen when they made the game, they probably would have checked more carefully how international teams represent themselves.

   Now I'm slightly curious how closely other Konami sports products have followed issues like "FYROM", "Chinese Taipei", teams using the olympic flag for team flag, etc. But not curious enough to look it up.

     The organizers of the AFC eAsian Cup 2023 used "Hong Kong, China" as the name for the Hong Kong team, but they couldn't make Konami update their eFootball 2024 game from saying just "Hong Kong", so the Hong Kong Football Association withdrew from the tournament.

     The team was told only three hours before their game.
