     Based on wastewater measurements around 40% of the Dutch population had Covid during between October and now.

     The media may have stopped talking about Covid, but that does not mean that it has gone away or no longer causes long term health complications.

     That is horrendous.
     I agree.
     I wonder if the figure I seem to remember from 2022 that 10% of those that get infected with #Covid19 develop #LongCovid still holds true.
     This would mean an army of people permanently incapacitated for work.

     The percentage is now known to be about 20 to 25% of those infected who go on to have long #COVID - for each infection.

     In addition there is about a 13% chance of developing an auto immune disease and for each existing autoimmune disease that is in remission there is a 13 to 14% chance of activating that disease.

     Since people with autoimmune diseases tend to have many this is a grave risk.

     My opinion too. I don't mind wearing a respirator mask when going into the supermarket, the pharmacy, public transportation or the hairdressers.

     Work from home is good for the environment and should be encouraged, I think.

     Different studies have put different numbers on it, and depends on whether you're vaccinated, how many and how recently you've been boosted and which variant you catch etc, but this Scientific American article from January suggests:

     "11 percent among those who are unvaccinated and 5 percent among those who have had two or more doses of the vaccine"

     Best case, fully vaxxed, a 5% saving throw is something to avoid!

     Thank you for that tmreally interesting article on #LongCovid ans #Covid19Vaccinations.

     I found this part also very interesting:
