     @SuperDicq @Moon according to them the environmental measures in question fuck over the status quo of the food supply chain there in various ways. I'd be interested in numbers however just in general given all the misguided government policies I've witnessed to date I'm initially inclined to take them at their word

     @bonifartius@qoto.org everything produced in NL is exported?No, but the majority is. We consume only about 20% of the meat that we produce, it's completely unnecessary.

     @bonifartius@qoto.org The Netherlands wants less farmers and we have specific mandates that are focused on buying out the biggest polluters first. (they are still not happy with this)

     @SuperDicq sure, but that is a systemic problem. killing small farms by taxing more is only intensifying this for the future. big industrialized farms have less problem with paying some more taxes.

     @bonifartius@qoto.org Yes, I wanted to go by car to Brussels with two friends. I think we're still gonna do it but we'll just drive in the evening instead when things die down or we take a detour.

     @SuperDicq fwiw: we have two farmers unions here in germany, one big lobbyist group close to industrial farming and one which mainly represents small eco hippie farms and both say the things the government plans are bullshit.
