    As I mentioned in libranet.de/display/0b6b25a8-1… I've reached a floor on my weight loss and I need to carefully dial up efforts a bit.

    I've been a bit extra careful with my eating these last two weeks and I'm right back on my weight floor, rather than hovering 1–2 kg above it. If I can stay here and add a little bit of swimming exercise I hope I can get back to where I was 20 years ago, just 2 kg lower than this. At that point I'll be happy to just hold that weight for a while, but my final target is 2-3 kg further down, my pre-uni weight.

      @clacke You can never go wrong with swimming!

      Though generally the best exercise is the one you can stick to so explore around for something you can easily integrate.

      Personally the only way I can stick to gym is by forfeiting results and goals and just accepting that it's just a sacrifice to the ancient gods so they allow me to live.

      Also ppl undestimate how much calories idle muscles burn so building up also extends your calorie budget :)

      @wraptile I'm sure a good part of what's keeping me from gaining back what I got rid of is that I just have more leg muscle than I did a year ago, just from walking a lot.

      With swimming and some own-weight exercises I'm hoping to add a little bit up top as well. 😊

      Doing only things I believe I can keep doing for the rest of my life is core to this project.

      @clacke good luck with your fitness journey!

      tbh I still hate working out and I think it's mostly dumb but it's a small price to pay for the benefits it provides.
      It trully feels like our bodies just need physical engagement as an evolutionary relic and the most viable strategy is to just do the work, at least for now.

      Podcasts and audiobooks are a life saver tho! Ologies with Alie Ward is my gym jam every time and it's amazing.

      @clacke Yay! I hit a plateau around 15-20lb above my high school graduation weight. I would like to get back there.
