   @jeff @evan Whenever you want to raise the heckles of Republicans, you can roll out George Soros. I assumed what Evan was saying is that Putin serves the same purpose for Democrats (I might have given that mantle to the Kochs, or more recently Harlan Crow).

     @dneary @jeff yes. Republicans will sometimes smear progressive political movements by suggesting that the participants are professional activists paid by George Soros.

     Representative Nancy Pelosi this weekend said, without evidence, that the Gaza genocide protests are funded by Putin.
