     @c yes. it's the whole "hate the sin not the sinner" problem. On some level it makes sense, but in practice it means people end up tolerating grave sins and sinners become unrepentant.

     Same. At some point, any tolerance of real evil is itself evil. "Oopsy, I accidentally supported the genocide of my own people" is not sufficient. At best, they are ignorant and simply lack sentience so you shouldn't shed a tear for them. It's comparable to prey animals being eaten.
