     Everything in modern culture provides a strawman of right wing beliefs - and those don't even correspond to mine. There are studies showing how right wingers understand leftwing beliefs, but the same is not true in reverse.
     
     I hope you understand that having a completely incorrect of approximately half of the population is fatal for anything trying to be democratic.

If you like democracy, I would suggest that a situation where a massive amount of the population is ignored and actively denigrated is not a good sign for the stability of the franchise.
     
     As the military recruiting problem in the US and UK point to, conservative people are giving up on their governments.

     Budwiser's experiences last year is a good example of how, to their executives exasperation, goodwill can falter overnight at the cost of billions of dollars.

     Both have been imperial powers within living memory, and have been involved in both atrocities and abandoning their veterans. Lots of reasons that compounded over time lead to their current situation. But of course, the 'giving up on their governments' is part of it for sure.

     But it is a handout. Providing ready built and functional infrastructure to a people who don't understand it won't make them care about learning how it was built or how to maintain it, it just satisfies an immediate desire without solving the underlying cause of the desire. Just because it's not something you can pick up and literally hand to people doesn't mean the granting of the resource isn't a handout.

     Giving handouts and boosting them up to positions people couldn't obtain on their own won't empower them, it creates cargo cults that demand more stuff. Cultural behaviors aren't widgets that the users can replace on a whim. If a culture lacks the inherent structure that supports a basis of understanding to build a system for themselves, airdropping them inside the system isn't going to cause some "Aha!" moment to occur.
