@alex there is some weird behavior on iOS when posting or replying: if words are chosen from autocomplete suggestions, they are not completed in the input most of the times. Also when using dot, comma or colon the last character from the previous word is removed most of the time.
My guess is this is related to replacing emojis and user handles, there might be some index that's wonky in some cases.
(First I thought it was some Apple bug, but Soapbox sites seem to be the only affected ones)

@ForbiddenDreamer @MechaSilvio @jimmybuffettfanaccount I finally looked at what Twitter does about this problem. They render the fancy composer on desktop, and a basic composer on mobile. That's what I need to do to fix all these composer issues. I just have a lot of other things on my plate. I'm sorry. I'm able to work around most of the issues. But I know it sucks.

@MechaSilvio @jimmybuffettfanaccount @alex There was some weirdness recently with chrome/brave deleting text before and after the cursor whenever you used backspace in certain text fields, which soapbox happened to use. Now it only does it after using a long press to delete whole words, but refuses to delete the first character on a given line.
My point is that it could still be Apple's fault for being broken, but most sites just don't use the more feature-filled text boxes.

@jimmybuffettfanaccount @alex I blamed and cursed Tim Apple first, until I figured out Poast was the only site I was heavily inputting text.
