   @jwildeboer ideally there should be a reference implementation for each popular language. People would learn from them, reuse them etc.

   Listening to what many #fediverse developers say I suspect the reason there aren't any such mature efforts is because of the nature of the #ActivityPub specification.

   But even the complaints are kinda all over the place, like the proverbial blind people touching different parts of a weird, never seen before #mastodon

     I am not a fan of including big or obscure libraries into apps or services, but in the case of #ActivityPub I'd make an exception. If there would be a well-maintained standard compliant ActivityPub library that one could include instead of having to reinvent the wheel (and creating interoperability problems along the way) as I too often see happening right now, that would be GRAND!
