     @amye I had a great year! We went to Venice, Florence, Genoa before spending six weeks in Marseilles in a home exchange. I have a lot of good personal memories of 2019!

     Also, there were like 20-plus candidates running for the Democratic Presidential primary, and it was like, hmm, which universal healthcare proposal is the most generous? Which of these candidates has the strongest free public university plan? How many of them endorse Governor Ingram's climate policy? It was a heady time.

     @amye Also I had a pretty good 2014 -- that's when we started Breather -- but then Obama wore that tan suit and the whole year was ruined after that.

     in 2023 Ireturned to magical practice. retrieved my tools from storage. started to work and learn again.

     made a number of surprising and beautiful discoveries about how the world converses with us.

     for me, a year of profound recovery and an emergence into wonder.

     @amye no, that was the other poll! I'm doing one poll per day this week with four random years out of the last 16, and then on Friday I'll do a poll with the winners from the previous days. That way we'll find out what was the best year lately
