@CrustyB @Druid @Terry Why would they need to search 21,000 square miles? Did they drop them in the water 100 miles before their target?

They're bragging about how extensive the rescue operation was in the press release but you have to wonder how much that all cost. A 21,000 square mile search area, Spain & Japan's cooperation, all these military, oceanographic, and intelligence agencies trying to track them down?

@Terry Yeah, losing two SEALs in a boarding action against a ship with only a dozen sailors is pretty much on par with our strategy of using multi million dollar missiles to intercept rockets built out for a couple grand. The difference is, Raython can still crank out missiles (for now), but the military is running out of high skill/discipline/ability Whites. Unless they drop the standards of SEAL training so Tyrone can pass it wearing water wings and a single digit ASVAB score, SEALs are as lost to history as the Argonauts.
