   In case you haven't tried already, if the RAM comes as two sticks, and if you feel confident, you could try swapping the sticks.

     That's my thought.

     I'm going to first try one stick at a time, and then swap them to different channels.

     @DarkSheepArts Have a look at the motherboard manual. Some won't work with a single stick, some will require a specific order of use for sockets.

     @aaribaud That's a good shout, actually.

     Another thing I *have* found in the mobo manual is that my RAM hasn't been tested for this motherboard, and while 99.999% of the time it doesn't matter, I'm getting a *lot* of RAM related errors.

     @DarkSheepArts The tests on RAM which look fine, are they the MOBO's internal tests, or are they done with an outside tool such as MemTest86?
