Anyway thinking that I am such a homebody now. I used to travel so much thanks to work, and I am super grateful for that. I have visited #China many times and literally saw its burst of growth over the years. First visit was in the early 2000s, #Beijing, and it was still not very modern, and I also visited a village deep in the countryside. Second was around 2006 or so, and it was getting glamorous in Beijing. And then again in 2010 or so and it was so modern I was astounded.

Jody (jodmentum@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 21-Jan-2024 10:01:58 JST Jody @liztai Yesterday i was thinking similar - a guy I did an around the world landrover expedition with went on to launch one of the world's largest tour companies with holding companies and driving amphibious landrovers across the channel. I went from something like 50 countries in a year to not even wanting to go to the neighboring town.
