According to the Mother of Israeli soldier Ron Sherman, he was killed by the Israeli army who gassed a tunnel he was held in.

The mother posted on social media officially accusing the #IDF of murdering her son.
In a statement by the Israeli army, they claim his body was found intact with no gunshot wounds or trauma that can indicate he was killed by conventional means.

Director of Israeli military intelligence in a leaked diplomatic cable told US ambassador that Hamas winning was beneficial because then they could treat Gaza overtly as a hostile entity.

  @amerika @Moon @Penelope @faab64 We literally have video of Israeli officials like 10+ years ago saying their plan is to make Hamas the representatives of Palestine so nobody on the world stage will recognize the claims of statehood run by a government that is designated as a terrorist group.
  
  Their entire playbook has been to discredit any possible claim and snuff out any possible positive political movement of the Palestinian people so they don’t have to cede an inch of land.

  However over half of the people living in Palestine were not even alive when Hamas took over, so this is just a dead end argument either way. They were born into a situation without any power to change it.
