Bernays worked for the precursor to the CIA in World War 1 developing propaganda and psyops to increase American support for the war. After the war he developed these ideas further for advertising. Western governments apply these propaganda techniques to manufacture consent in the population for what the government already wants to do.

sure, i dont know enough about voter satisfsction nor its effectiveness in keeping politicians accountable. that said i do wanna know of what you think of brexit being an example of people voting against the interests of their leaders. like as an example if you can show how your framework on democracy (doesnt) work.

i really really dislike rigid class structures (more acceptable if there is real social mobility based on merit obviously) and hereditary responsibility.
