   On a related note: hey friends, if you had to describe what #solarpunk is on the space of a single poster board, what would you write?

   (I have my own plan for bulleted points, but want to know what you think is most important to get across to con-goers who maybe have never heard of solarpunk before.)

     @arielkroon An interdisciplinary environmental movement seeking to build strong communities rooted in a sustainable, balanced relationship between humans and nature. What makes #Solarpunk unique is its celebration of people from all backgrounds, its positive or at least neutral relationship with technology, its adaptability to local circumstances and local knowledges, a general current of practical optimism. A realistic #environmentalism not for the elites but for everyone.

     How's that? :)

     Wow, I got a lot of awesome suggestions in response to this post! I just finished making up my own poster board and it manages to not to look totally juvenile due to my complete lack of design and handwriting skills, so I'm taking it as a win.
     Hopefully it's intriguing enough that people ask me more about #solarpunk

     I like adding the idea of respect. I think that it captures the mood or stance that so many solarpunks should approach their work.

     I like your description!

     I was thinking along the lines of:
     A vision of our future based on respect and community.
     Respect for nature, respect for the individuals needs, respect for archivements of technology, respect for every person and their goals. All of these core values are shared and supported by a community of equals, aiming to maximise the wellbeing of everyone while encouraging personal aspirations and personalities.
