@0vtcast @Royper Mine has a keyboard drawer thingy (not sure what they're called)
Mine came with it but you can get them on slamazon for $20-30

@elftummy @Royper Didn't realize you can attach your own. My only concern is getting my arms used to having the mouse and keyboard on different elevation.

@0vtcast @Royper I've got an L-shape standing desk at my office. It's much more ergonomic for switching from desktop to laptop to paperwork etc
Looks a bit like picrel but without the monitor stand & without wheels
The height is adjustable

@elftummy @Royper Same but the monitors and keyboard make it not that great for paperwork. I think clamps may fix that

@Royper @0vtcast I love these things.
I have one that has two arms. I need to get a second one
The real game changer was realizing I can thread the pole through the grommets in my computer desk (pic related - the grommets at the back)

@elftummy @Royper I use an L-Shape for when I need to jam a laptop in. I do wish I could find monitors with more than one displayport so I wasn't switching cables as needed

@Royper I got a large desk but even then the space is running out because of the monitors' stands. Are desk clamps a good idea or will they break?

@0vtcast basically all of them come with desk clamps. I’ve been using monitor arms for the last 15 years and before my current mini desk set up and they are great because they make your monitors look like they’re just floating there.

@Royper Wait, can your monitors move with your desk or not really? I like having my eyes aligned to the center of the screen at all times to I'm not crunching my neck vessels

@0vtcast My big monitors are mounted to heavy duty ergotron HX Arms (with some extra artistic steps) so I can put them wherever I want within the range of the arm. And my desk is small so I can just move it to wherever it’s comfortable and tuck it against the wall when I’m not using it.

@0vtcast My monitors are mounted to either the windowsill or the wall and I use a sit and stand laptop desk with wireless peripherals and roly wheels to just put it wherever I want.

@Royper I do not have the place to wall mount them, but I will keep this in mind for the future.

@0vtcast If you do always mount to studs and never to drywall or pic related.

@0vtcast Absolutely useless and I only did it once to make a funny meme picture to entertain my tens of followers.
The other monitor is also on an arm so I can just rotate it. it spends the majority of the time in vertical mode.

@Royper My planned setup is at least one curved 4k for theater, curved 2k for gaming, 2 other curved 2k monitors so that the two together can match the length of the 4k above (gaming and theater both centered), and have a vertical on each side. Of course. I need to demo this and see if my eyes go wide enough for reading all this, as my current setup of two horizontal and two vertical (none curved) is already showing my vision's limits (maybe I need to have a table to type on as I look from a distance)

@Royper What is a curved vertical like? Easier to read or probably better in flat mode like reading a wall?
