     Yeah, these are cutting permissions all the time. Reminds me of some "ticket app" which requires 24/7 access to internet, location, all of your data, because they really really need it to be an equivalent of a piece of paper with barcode on it. This bullshit is the reason I dont ever update apps on my phone, they work just fine, and each update can bring cancer.
