     @feorag The SRN.4's are huge and conservation is probably expensive as hell; I suspect the Princess Margaret is now just a pile of spare parts in a discreet warehouse, earmarked for keeping the Princess Anne flightworthy.

     @cstross two thoughts: so what happened to the Princess Margaret, which was also at the Hovercraft Museum? And the Oita service is a relaunch. I was disappointed when they discontinued it before I’d found an excuse to go on it. I guess the old vessel crapped out with age, and after not having it for a while, they realised how good it had been.
