Anyone have any suggestions to alternatives to cronometer pro for tracking micronutrients in food? The more complicated or advanced the features the better... integration with garmin a plus.

But to be clear im not looking for something that will analyze my food for me. Just a way to log my food, these tools use databases to find out the micronutrient content.

Niclas Hedhman (niclas@angrytoday.com)'s status on Monday, 15-Jan-2024 00:52:54 JST Niclas Hedhman Oh, I actually thought you were looking for tooling to analyze the food. And for some bizarre reason I got those adverts for about 6-9 months in 2020 or so. Not sure what Google thought about me at that time, because I also go adverts for Barbed Wire Machines and Cable Recycling Machines. I switched to Brave browser partly due to these ads.

By the way cronometer has really good keto support and adds some very nice calculations on how many carbs you can eat that you can customize to any of the usual ways of calculating, and quite a few custom ways.
I myself have it fixed where i get a certain minimum carbs and then depending on how active i was (measured objectively from my garmin watch) will determine how many bonus carbs i can have that day (heavy cardio days allows for more carbs). Youc an also customize how the protein calculation is effected by this in various ways.

Shane Rogers (swrogers@social.targaryen.house)'s status on Tuesday, 16-Jan-2024 02:02:00 JST Shane Rogers @freemo I believe that it does, but it requires the premium account (https://www.carbmanager.com/article/ywilebiaaiuwuu_b/micronutrients-benefits-dosages-and-how-to-track)
I don't use it for micros, at least not all of them.

Shane Rogers (swrogers@social.targaryen.house)'s status on Tuesday, 16-Jan-2024 02:25:01 JST Shane Rogers @freemo if you mean the "snap a picture of your food" to log meals, I've not actually ever tried that one. I do use the barcode reader, which works as well as any other app I've used. I do always double check that the nutrients are correct, and submit any corrections as required.

For what CM does it does it well and I'm happy. I'm only looking at alternatives to see what im missing, like this photo feature. I also would like better reporting or the ability to share progress.

Shane Rogers (swrogers@social.targaryen.house)'s status on Tuesday, 16-Jan-2024 02:30:58 JST Shane Rogers @freemo I've heard good things about cronometer. Back when I started the three that were always suggested was that, car manager and MyFitnessPal. We just went with CM.
I've gone from 333+ to a low of 168, been maintaining at around 185 for a couple of years now. Still log most everything. All this with no exercise. Maybe one day I'll start something. 😃
