   yet there's that complication of antisemitic christo-zionists embraced by Netanyahu along with terrorists in CIA/FBI watch lists.

   y'all can't have it both ways. not when HAMAS is Netanyahu's abomination.

   the issue isn't really gentiles treating zionism as an academic topic.

   the problem is having sociopaths & sadists like Netanyahu define it.

     @blogdiva @dukepaaron @josh Hamas is not Netanyahu's abomination. He certainly helped them grow in power, but for one it's what, a decade or two older than even his political career. It's just as I've been asked not to blame Israel _entirely_ on the British and Americans, because Jews have agency too...

     Anyway I have stuff to say about Zionism in both of the directions here but I can't be on here all night. 😊👋

     fwiw, it's the PoV of someone who doesn't come from a culture with a sizeable Jewish influence. well, maybe now but not back in the day. true story: didn't meet PR Jews FROM LA ISLA (not just nuyoricans) until i came to NYC.

     but i feel like, from a mass info/culture PoV, Zionism even in the US was presented as just a political manifestation, not THE political manifestation of Judaism.

     i feel this more academic take on Z changed with Bush after 9/11.
