     @alkoclick not necessarily. My deepest wish/hope for the fediverse is that it will grow to become something bigger than social media. More meaningful and important interactions between (real) people.

     If this comes to pass we may be talking about the limited old days when it was mostly an uninspiring copycat of shallow and soul destroying patterns.

     But large scale adoption of anything does dilute the culture, its almost tautological...

     @phiofx This is by far the best platform that I've used for connecting with folks, both rated on friendliness and signal-to-noise ratio. Nevertheless I fear that the fediverse alone cannot stop the fundamental forces of capitalism and culture dilution. So I'm hoping for the best, but I do expect the inevitable curveball to hit.
