The bittersweet feeling that this place (Hachyderm is particular, but also the fedi in general) is what we'll look back to as "the good old days" eventually :qvp:

If this comes to pass we may be talking about the limited old days when it was mostly an uninspiring copycat of shallow and soul destroying patterns.
But large scale adoption of anything does dilute the culture, its almost tautological...

Nevertheless I fear that the fediverse alone cannot stop the fundamental forces of capitalism and culture dilution. So I'm hoping for the best, but I do expect the inevitable curveball to hit.
