     yes, shariah law applies for muslims in malaysia. not sure if they enforce this specific one, but they certainly enforce some like premarital intercourse

     not here. I am not quite sure how it works legally speaking, but in practice its legal for the government to discriminate against you based on race or religion, and they do in fact do that to benefit malays and indigenous people (bumiputera)

     @rin @kaia in the UAE you get different holidays depending on what you picked as your religion when registering, and culturally different things like divorces are done according to what's most natural for the people involved (i.e., for the divorce of a british couple, the judges would try to apply british law).
