      We haven't seen any actual proof that there is a big layoff nor that AI is going to be taking over the translations.

      Once they've developed a full course for a language, why do they need any more translators?

      When Duo went public, it got rid of it's volunteer workforce. So it needed contract workers temporarily to vet the existing material.

      Hopefully this means the tree will stop morphing all the time.

        Attached: 3 images Duolingo laying off most of their translators and having the rest review AI generated translations instead of writing them will be the end game for a lot of white collar work over the next few years. From software development to marketing to law, it’s what business will pay for.
