     @LectioDivina very interesting how you worded this reply. The way you wrote it implies that there's something unclear or poorly written about the post, when the actual problem you are having is due to your own lack of knowledge. Neither of the terms that were used are uncommon or unfamiliar to people who regularly discuss race and US politics.

     See, you could have written "I don't know what fascism and whiteness are" which would have been much less disingenuous and would have made it obvious that you are requesting to be educated about something you don't know.

     I suggest you do your own research on both terms instead of telling a Black person they have to educate you. Just my advice.

     @tillshadeisgone I'm sure I can find those definitions elsewhere, but they vary enough that *your* definition is critical for understanding *your* perspective. If you want to persuade those on the periphery of your normal audience consider providing some grounding through definitions.
