@evan Voted for “Strongly agree” because that's the original goal and still is the goal when the discussion about #SocialWeb and #Federation started in 2005; and when you launched the first version of the #Fediverse in 2008.

It was coined by Howard Rheingold, who explored the idea of virtual communities and community centers.

I only remember when events were held starting in 2005 (IIRC) about the #SocialWeb. I think it was in France, and it was there #Web3 was first coined (not the crypto Web3).
