After we had to endure the neighbor's bright xmas lights for more than a month, it shines into our living room and bothers me with my sensitivity to light, and with ten days gone since the actual date, i allowed myself to put a small note into their mailbox asking them very kindly! to please turn them off soon (also because two years ago they left them up until march).

And i'll let you guess what their response was.

Boomers (yup, they are) are our downfall.

@antiaall3s Oh yeah, capitalism, Christian fundamentalism, and white supremacy. All wrapped together with a big bow, it seems! On a backdrop of gaudy blinking lights.

@MediaActivist They must be xmas fanatics. And who can blame them? After all xmas is the celebration of love and compassion. So they simply must waste all this energy and irritate everyone around them with their blinking lights.

You know what pisses me off the most? Some years ago here in Switzerland minarets and burkas were outlawed in a popular vote, in other words symbols of other religions. Yet to shove these christian symbols into everyone's faces is no problem.
