@ieure @vkc I started using these heavily when I was demoing Kagi. The shortcuts are super handy (e.g. "@w foo" to quickly search Wikipedia)

Boosty Collins (ieure@retro.social)'s status on Sunday, 07-Jan-2024 15:54:18 JST Boosty Collins @vkc You might already know this, but the Firefox family of browsers support OpenSearch, which is a way for sites to tell browsers how to search them. Right click a search field, and you'll get "Add (site name)", if the site uses OS. Then you can pick it from the location bar.
There are other/more sophisticated ways to streamline multie search engines, but this one is built-in and low friction.
