     @sickburnbro @ForbiddenDreamer @The_Almighty_Kek @Groomschild I read (and the place where the hole is doesn't have an exit light so it feels true) that this is an optional emergency exit door which Alaska did not take the option on, so structurally it just had a window bulkhead plugged into a door hole.

     But the key here is that on modern passenger planes all door are supposed to be self-sealing like this: so the higher pressure inside your aluminum toob keeps the door pushing against the toob, rather than relying on bolts to keep it closed.
