     @lacouvee it is nice to be up high. On the way down we passed a family with a tiny child. Maybe 4 years old. She was rooted to the spot in awe of the view and smartly observed that "real life looks just like a map in a book, from up high." Very sweet.

     @CloudyMrs surprisingly although Campbell River is the gateway to Strathcona Park and lots of mountains, it's quite flat in the areas we hike. Need more elevation!

     @lacouvee that's it in my profile picture from about 10 miles away. It's pretty flat all around here, so it stands out as a landmark. As long as I can see it, I can find my way home.

     @CloudyMrs I looked at the elevation and the closest hill we have here is Broken Eyes Mountain aka Campbell River Lookout - it's a grunt up and the trail is fairly recent, but it is becoming more popular.
