@Pawlicker I know this is a joke, but my chromebook running linux is uninonically one of my fav computers I own tbh. ChromeOS is absolutely useless garbage and it's 100% worth risking the brick to get rid of it

@allison @Pawlicker I would say it's worth it if you have one sitting around for some reason (I had one bc of my last job), but idk if it's worth going out to buy one for this exact purpose. When I violated mine in March or April support for newer models looked pretty spotty, though it does look like there is a lot more info now
I like mine (2021 Acer CB314) bc it's super lightweight with respectable battery life, but it has weird issues that I haven't been able to fix like the Chrome-specific keys not being remappable/recognised and problems with the SD card slot (which is pain bc it only has 32 GB storage lmao). Otherwise it's pretty fine and extremely usable for what it is
