     @NitroDubs Most people didn't see is that way because it's facing known costs with a uncertain outcome. The Maru is fake hollywood shit, but it exemplifies a truth about leaders. Being a leader is hard, and most of the time isn't fun.

     @NitroDubs that's why I said "it is hollywood shit" - the scene setup has to be hamfisted in order to sell the point in limited time to people with limited engagement.
     
     In reality you have stuff like this - stuff that it isn't "instant death" but a horde of attackers who you aren't allowed to deal with appropriately.
