   @marnanel I think of them as being maples if I think hard about it, but I wouldn't use them synonymously. I guess I'd say they were maples _sensu lato_

     @goatsarah @marnanel I don't think they're always the loveliest of trees, but they're not _that_ bad. They're not leyland cypress.
