     Go read some mechanic forums and the "Teslas are falling apart" stories are a joke in comparison. It just doesn't get any press.

     @feld @steely_glint The stock suspension on our RAV4 was so soft and underdamped that I constantly had motion sickness as a passenger, even when the car was unloaded! The problem went away with better aftermarket coilovers.

     @tk ICE cars have become increasingly mechanically complex and the EVs remove all of that nonsense. That's all I care.
     
     There are dozens of gaskets and sensors I do not have to ever think about in my Tesla.

     Although my dad's 1964 RHD Merc 190 had a design flaw such that if you drove through a deep puddle at speed the wash doused the distributor and it would stall. Fortunately the momentum was _usually_ enough to get you through.
