   @nasser A result of the transition of the audience of "computer media" from "computer people" to "everybody", regular people don't give a shit about openness and standards that keep things free and usable. People who care about that are now the minority and don't have to be served.

     remember when every corporation had a good well documented API and people built amazing things on them and we were like wow this is the future and then corporations were like hahaha jk and the APIs went away
