Tim (timboslice@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Sunday, 24-Dec-2023 23:31:16 JST Tim @ned per Revelation 12 messiah was likely born September 11 3BC on the Feast of Tabernacles.
Winter solstices commemorate the death and rebirth of the sun.

Sir Nedwood - Sydney 🇦🇺 (ned@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Monday, 25-Dec-2023 07:03:11 JST Sir Nedwood - Sydney 🇦🇺 @Timboslice also Jesus was likely born in Nazareth, not Bethlehem. But there is documented tradition that Christians were celebrating the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem on Dec 25th as early as 300AD. Not related to any existing pagan festival.
The date is likely to make it so he was conceived on Easter. But could also be historical accurate. Who knows. Doesn't matter. If the earliest Christians weren't having these fedora wearing arguments it's good enough for me.

Tim (timboslice@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Monday, 25-Dec-2023 07:06:47 JST Tim @ned or we could take Revelation 12 at its word, describing an astronomical event that has occurred one time in history. If true the implications are staggering.
Either way I agree this amounts to angels on pins. Glad I could share something for you to shrug at.

Crux_Invictus (crux_invictus@poa.st)'s status on Monday, 25-Dec-2023 09:23:01 JST Crux_Invictus @ned @Timboslice Jesus being born in Nazareth would go against Him being the Messiah, it would also contradict the gospel accounts of His birth.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem as per both the gospel accounts and the prophet Micah. -

Sir Nedwood - Sydney 🇦🇺 (ned@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Monday, 25-Dec-2023 09:23:01 JST Sir Nedwood - Sydney 🇦🇺 @Crux_Invictus @Timboslice I was under the impression it was only Luke that specifically mentioned Bethlehem as the place of birth. But no, looks like Matthew does as well. I also thought the only thing that mattered for prophecy was the lineage from David, and the tie to Bethlehem was mainly symbolic as the city of David. But I don't know enough to argue either way.

Crux_Invictus (crux_invictus@poa.st)'s status on Monday, 25-Dec-2023 09:47:42 JST Crux_Invictus @ned @Timboslice Being a descendant of David was one of the requirements for being the Messiah and being born in Bethlehem is another.
It's part of the reason why the Pharisees make such an issue about Jesus being "from Nazareth" and thus couldn't be the Messiah but they didn't know (or ignored) that He was actually born in Bethlehem. -

Tim (timboslice@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Sunday, 07-Jan-2024 10:12:26 JST Tim @ned Merry Christmas, Sir! I stand corrected, Messiah was CONCEIVED, not birthed, on the Feast of Tabernacles 9/11 3BC.
That would put his birthday in June. Spring ends on the 20, so there is your spring birth. Plus, the Feast of St. John the Baptist is on the 24th, 3 days later (wink wink).
