     @fzer0 I'd day yes, since lifting is a majority male sport and thus girls doing it are tomboys :ChenShrug:

     I just have a different picture in my head when i hear tomboy.
     More "boyish", less "manly".

     @fzer0 agreed. it's a very common point of contention in 4chan tomboy threads what makes a tomboy. also interestingly in "girls with short hair" threads.
     
     also interesting is that some R*ddit FtMs see themselves as tomboys, but theoretically they are just boys now?
     
     on other platforms like TikTok the term is not widely used, but there would be the need for it.
