Someday I'll get someone to explain to me what "diversity of thought" means and how they measure it.

2) slot different thoughts into bins. Use relevant thought attributes, e.g., depth, color, sharpness, profoundness etc.
3) count how many thoughts per bin. Normally it should be an integer number in all bins.
4) compute a suitable diversity index. Stick with known simplistic choices rather than signaling sophistication.

phiofx (phiofx@hachyderm.io)'s status on Thursday, 21-Dec-2023 05:39:05 JST phiofx @cam real diversity of thought is alien and potentially scary. We mostly agree to stylize diversity along well worn rails (left vs right etc)
The contrived example is a hypothetical mathematical idiot savant taking your rhetorical question literally and producing a diversity of thought metric. It directly lifts actual procedures used eg in measuring income inequality or species diversity.
Goes to show that you can never know who or what you bump into in our beautiful (fe)diverse :-)
