#^BREAKING: Pope Francis publishes norms for clergy to 'bless' homosexual couples - LifeSite

Pope Francis’ new document allows clergy to bless any homosexual couple, in contradiction to the unchangeable Catholic teaching that the Church cannot bless sinful relationships.

@SirCandinavian I don't like the idea of women priests, preachers or voters. However, while they may slip under the radar, this has got to be the final sign.

Don't like the idea of women voters? Interesting.

@Marshall Sutherland (Posting with Hubzilla) no, sadly I don't. I'm thinking of joining any and all, organizations that are seriously, in favor, of repealing the 19th amendment, for obvious reasons, of course.

@Marshall Sutherland (Posting with Hubzilla) I really haven't thought about it comprehensively, it's just more of a hunch, that perhaps, if the nineteenth amendment wasn't ratified, the country may have made more positive moves culturally, spiritually and politically. I have no empirical data to back those notions up and it's a recent prejudice that I've adopted, so I'm still formulating, my formal arguments on why it may be, a correct assertion.

It's not at the top of my agenda yet and it was primarily relegated to my subconscious thoughts. However, I find myself bringing more to the forefront, making it more relevant and since I've made my thoughts on the matter, somewhat public now, I'll have to start getting prepared, to answer these types of questions.  At the moment, all my opinions on women voters, are currently, mostly anecdotal.  It's a very valid question though.

What are the arguments in favor of taking away the vote from women? Are such proponents also against them holding office?

@Marshall Sutherland (Posting with Hubzilla) admittedly, I've yet to come up with any conclusive arguments, to persuade the masses, as of yet, however, your question, does have me more focused, to that end. I do however, realize, that I may be fighting a vain, pointless, battle. If I were, ever to do so, there would be, a significant amount of men, whose votes, mirror exactly, the votes of many women, whose job it would be, to oppose me, in that endeavor and I'd be hard pressed, to strip them from their voting rights as well.

All in all, the notion is, in its embryonic stages and not exactly on the top, of my list of priorities. Also, knowing so well, how keen many women voters are, in the treatment of embryos, it may well come to an unfortunate, premature end.  It is just a mere, recent prejudice, one which I plan on justifying, first to myself and soon, if I can, valid arguments make, to venture out, into the deep waters to proclaim the ills and dangers, of the hordes of female electors. Wish me luck.

A collection of anecdotes still seems like a pretty weak argument for removing a fundamental right. I'm sure we could disqualify all groups of voters on those grounds.

@Marshall Sutherland (Posting with Hubzilla)Yes, then there is that too.  The proverbial genie is out of the lamp I'm afraid, the opportunity to stop them is long past and from my current point of view, the movement should have been nipped in the bud. I suppose, I'll just have to get used to being ruled, by our perpetual female, overlords and like it.

Given that women outnumber men, a movement to take the vote away from men might be more likely to succeed.
