     @7666 I ran mine under my RV in the bus bay. It got super hot, when it did that it was probably ambient of 105 or so. They will take the heat but they do not like it. My VM's were getting throttled too much. I put a AC down there and solved it.

     @nullenvk @7666 I got mine to be a lot quieter by doing the thermal paste on my Dells properly.
     
     That helped tremendously with Arctic silver.

     @7666 @SlicerDicer Also, how long did it take you to get used to fans running right under your bed?
     My setup's thermal management is fucked and it's next to impossible to sleep at night when it's running, so I wonder whether it's doable with proper, "normal" equipment

     @feld @SlicerDicer @nullenvk outside of radical solutions like liquid metal, not really. AS5 still reigns supreme, although "supreme" really just means like half a celsius.
