   Woke up to a power outage because it got windy last night, not even a Tropical Storm or Hurricane, just heavy winds.

   It should be criminal to prevent citizens from having solar power in 2023, this happens too frequently here and it's sickening that I could be saving money and not having to deal with power outages if our power companies would just not be big babies.

     @KuJoe @tokyo_0 Oh gosh man, I am so, sooo sorry. I have several friends and some relatives that live there and man, not for all the beaches and Mickey rats in the world could I do it. I bitch about the weather here in NY but if I lived in FLA it would be my life's job to complain about all the problems down there.

     @tokyo_0 My home owners insurance will drop me if I install it and the insurance policies that allow it are 2-3x more expensive. Additionally, the state government has passed multiple laws requiring you to pay the power company even if you don't use their electricity and they've also put restrictions on how much a power company can pay you if they use your excess solar energy.

     @tokyo_0 you're welcome to boost anything I say, it's all public and I'm big on sharing and transparency.

     I don't know why the insurance companies have that stance because the way the panels are installed actually reinforces the roof and reduces the damage from wind and water.

     You do have to pay the power company even if disconnected but you have an account. You can cancel your account but then you cannot sell back extra power or use the grid if your solar is broken. Monthly fee is $30 + taxes
