     @rriemann No, Gmail controlling which emails get delivered and which do not for a huge swath of people and Google/Alphabet having insight into everything that’s said in emails and the social graph behind it is equivalent to federating with #threads.

     (And that’s not even considering the social capital and legitimacy afforded to Meta/Facebook/surveillance capitalism – which is the major issue here – as mentioned in a separate post.)
