   @psu_13 @ct_bergstrom This is solid advice for working online. Color spaces only make sense if you have end-to-end control over the process; one misconversion anywhere in the chain, color space metadata dropped at even one step, and heaven only knows what comes out at the end. And browsers? Browsers are a chaotic, ever-moving target.

   There may be an asterisk for P3; wouldn’t be surprised to it become the new “just use it” standard in a few years. But in the meantime….

     @ct_bergstrom for pictures that will be displayed in web browsers the easiest rule to remember is to just always post web content in the sRGB color space no matter what.

     This is an old rant I posted once about this. It's still mostly true (web browsers have probably gotten better) and is a bit oversimple but is maybe understandable. I dunno.

     So color spaces are really starting to piss me off. Anyone have a favored tutorial / explainer about what they are, how they work, and how to use them to e.g. post photos online?
